About the Role
ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Youth Mentor to support children with special educational needs in Birmingham. This role involves working closely with students to enhance their learning experience, ensuring a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support students with additional needs in various settings.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning requirements.
- Monitor student progress and emotional well-being.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people in the last 2 years.
- Ability to obtain valid references from previous roles.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Empathetic and patient attitude towards students.
- Flexibility and reliability in a school environment.
