About the Role
Join Wakefield Council as a Senior Care Assistant in our Dementia Care Home. You will provide person-centred care to vulnerable adults, ensuring their well-being and quality of life. This role involves overseeing care, managing medications, and supporting the home management team. Work 28 hours a week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays, with enhanced pay rates.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support for residents.
- Communicate service users' needs to management.
- Administer medications safely and effectively.
- Maintain good relations with service users and families.
- Ensure high-quality care for residents' well-being.
Requirements
- NVQ 2 in Social Care; NVQ 3 is desirable.
- Understanding of safe manual handling techniques.
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults.
- Minimum two years' experience with older adults.
- Understanding of complex care needs.
