About the Role

Join Wakefield Council as a Senior Care Assistant in our Dementia Care Home. You will provide person-centred care to vulnerable adults, ensuring their well-being and quality of life. This role involves overseeing care, managing medications, and supporting the home management team. Work 28 hours a week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays, with enhanced pay rates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support for residents.
  • Communicate service users' needs to management.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively.
  • Maintain good relations with service users and families.
  • Ensure high-quality care for residents' well-being.

Requirements

  • NVQ 2 in Social Care; NVQ 3 is desirable.
  • Understanding of safe manual handling techniques.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding adults.
  • Minimum two years' experience with older adults.
  • Understanding of complex care needs.
