About the Role
The Acute Oncology Service (AOS) delivers a 7-day service to patients admitted to Peterborough City Hospital and as well
as Hinchingbrooke Hospital (5 days a week) with complications of systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) and radiotherapy
treatments. The post holder will support the nursing team clinically with the review and care of unwell patients
attending the haematology oncology unit. They will support the Acute Oncology (AOS) team with triaging the emergency
phone and maintain delivery of the service from an administration aspect, including the undertaking of audits as well as
the collating of patient data.
