About the Role

Selwood House Care Home is seeking an Apprentice Care Assistant to join their team. This role offers hands-on training while pursuing a Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship. Ideal for compassionate individuals, no prior experience is necessary. You will support residents with daily living and promote their independence in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and support
• Promote emotional well-being and social interaction
• Support residents during meal times
• Engage with residents on a personal level
• Maintain and update care plans for residents

Requirements

• Desirable qualification in Health and Social Care
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work non-judgmentally
• Patience and empathy towards residents
• Willingness to learn and adapt

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is £17,487.60.

Location & Schedule

Work will be at Selwood House Care Home, Dorchester. Shifts include weekends, early mornings, and evenings.
