They are highly experienced and educated members of the critical care outreach team who can diagnose and treat health

care needs or refer to an appropriate specialist if needed. They are empowered to make high-level clinical decisions and

to work autonomously. The expertise of the Advanced Critical Care Outreach practitioner will be focused in supporting

staff and caring for deteriorating patients across the whole hospital.
