About the Role

Clinical Responsibilities Working on the medical Tier 1 rota as part of the medical team the ANNP will: Lead in the

resuscitation of the newborn, using advanced skills evaluating progress and making further decisions regarding

management Lead the admission of sick and preterm infants to the Neonatal Unit, identifying individualised management

plans. Be responsible for initiating treatment, including drug therapy. Order appropriate investigations to inform

treatment plans, acting on the results appropriately. Identify the need for and undertakes advanced clinical skills,

e.g. UAC, UVC, Intubation, Long lines and chest drains. Professional / Educational Responsibilities Maintains own
