About the Role

To have completed formal training and competency framework for Advanced Practice in Breast Imaging. To undertake a

technical role traditionally carried out by Radiologists such as:

Ultrasound or X-ray guided interventional procedures

Advanced client communication and clinical breast examination (non-essential)

Image interpretation while working in accordance with local and national protocols

To promote and deliver a high-quality imaging service for the screening population and for symptomatic referrals.
