About the Role
As an Advocacy Support Worker, you'll be the first point of contact for clients, helping them navigate systems, understand their rights, and make informed choices about their care. You'll coordinate group advocacy meetings, promote service user engagement, and work across various settings, including mental health wards and supported living accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate group advocacy meetings across various environments
- Promote advocacy services and support client engagement
- Liaise with professionals and support teams
- Maintain accurate records, including minutes and reports
- Deliver training sessions to clients and service users
- Ensure GDPR compliance and uphold confidentiality
- Participate in team meetings and service development
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Competence in Microsoft Office and online systems
- Full driving licence and access to a car
- Flexibility to travel regionally and work evenings/weekends
