Assistant Practitioner for Falls Prevention
About the Role
Specific duties: Under an agreed framework determined by falls lead practitioner (registered professional) andunder
proximal supervision of the falls team registered professional. Reviewing patients allocated by Falls
Nurses/Practitioners Falls Prevention Training for clinical staff including bank, pool staff. Monthly UHLG Falls
Steering Group. Contribution to monthly Falls team meeting. Involvement in ward and team based falls prevention quality
improvement projects. Acts as a mentor for falls champions, students, cadets and HCAs. Ward based staff education on
falls prevention strategies. Clinical auditing involving deep dives and patient and staff experience questionnaires.
