The AP in the Breast team works closely with the breast care nurses, and provides essential continuity of care for all

breast cancer patients undergoing surgery. The role spans the entire peri operative pathway, ensuring safe recovery,

early identification of complications, and avoidance of unnecessary hospital attendances. The key responsibilities

include providing immediate post-operative advice, including physiotherapy guidance, post-op wound care advice, and

drain management. The AP acts as a first point of contact for patient concerns, including wound issues, seroma and
