Assistant Practitioner - Respiratory and Sleep
About the Role
Key duties and responsibilities 1. To provide the first point of contact for patients, relatives and carers arriving for
an appointment with the Sleep & Lung Function Services, presenting a professional, calm and confident manner in line
with the Trusts Values & Behaviours. 2. To assist with all enquiries to the Sleep & Lung Function service including CPAP
parts/checks using the CPAP database and issue CPAP accessories as required, escalating to the appropriate healthcare
professional, e.g. Physiologists or Sleep Service Nurse as appropriate. 3. To assist with CPAP and Oximeter clinics by
undertaking patient observations, downloading of CPAP data cards and issuing pulse oximeters to help physiologists
