About the Role
The Assistant Therapy Practitioner plays a crucial role in supporting occupational therapy and physiotherapy teams within the Emergency and Specialty Medicine service. This position involves managing patient assessments, providing therapy interventions, and ensuring safe discharges, all while working independently and with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments for therapy interventions.
- Manage a caseload of patients independently.
- Assess home environments for safe discharge.
- Communicate effectively with patients and carers.
- Document interventions accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in health/social care.
- Experience as a therapy support worker.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload.
- Understanding of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy roles.
