About the Role
As an Autism Support Worker, you'll support pupils with communication differences, sensory needs, and emotional regulation. Working alongside experienced staff and therapists, you'll help deliver calm, consistent support that allows each child to thrive academically and personally.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils in class and during structured social activities
- Use communication tools such as PECS or Makaton (training provided)
- Assist during transitions, sensory breaks, or emotional regulation moments
- Implement personalized support strategies and behaviour plans
- Help develop independence, confidence, and meaningful communication
- Collaborate with teaching and therapy teams to adapt pupil support
Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people with autism
- Patience, emotional resilience, and a calm presence
- Relevant qualification in Teaching Assistance or related field
- Willingness to learn new sensory and therapeutic strategies
- Team player committed to inclusive education
- Desire to help pupils feel safe and understood

Compensation
Competitive pay rates will be discussed during the interview process, inclusive of statutory holiday pay.
Location & Schedule
Full-time and part-time roles available, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
