About the Role
Work with other colleagues as part of the Acute Intervention team to support the delivery of phlebotomy services for
CDDFT. To obtain blood samples by venepuncture from out-patients and in-patients at medical and surgical request,
adhering strictly to relevant policies and procedures. Blood samples obtained are for various purposes where protocols
for these procedures must be understood and adhered to. To work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, dealing with a
wide range of patients including barrier nursed and the critically ill. Patients may have needle phobias and protocol
for dealing with these situations must be adhered to. To liaise with nursing and medical staff to organise and
