About the Role

Our busy Children’s Department operates across two sites: Queen’s Hospital, Romford and King George’s Hospital, Ilford.

We provide a full range of general medical and surgical services for children and young people. Facilities include two

inpatient wards (one with a co-located 4-bedded HDU), two Children and Young People’s Assessment Units (CYPAU at QH and

Dahlia at KGH), a day unit with POSCU and hematology services, outpatient departments with a GP hot clinic, Clinical

Nurse Specialists and a Children’s Community Nursing team.

We also have a well-established 32-cot Level 2 NICU with community and outreach teams supporting babies on discharge.
