About the Role

At the Marie Curie Hospice, Liverpool, we’re proud to introduce our new Ambulatory Paracentesis Service - a same‑day

outpatient pathway providing safe, efficient fluid drainage for people living with malignant ascites. Designed to

relieve symptoms such as discomfort, breathlessness and reduced mobility, the service offers compassionate, specialist

support that helps patients stay well and avoid unnecessary hospital admission.

This service forms a key part of our wider Outpatients and Ambulatory Care offering, where patients can access

consultant‑led clinics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Day Therapy, Counselling, Complementary Therapies, Social
