About the Role

We are seeking a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse for our Paediatric Emergency Department. In this role, you will support the Ward Manager and Matron, oversee clinical operations, and ensure high standards of patient care. You will also supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a collaborative environment for quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ward Manager and Matron in unit management.
• Take charge of the clinical area in their absence.
• Assess patient care needs and develop care plans.
• Implement and evaluate care to maintain high standards.
• Supervise and teach nursing and non-nursing staff.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with relevant paediatric experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to assess and manage complex care needs.
• Experience in mentoring and teaching staff.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
