About the Role
The Dental Officer will provide high-quality clinical care, preventive treatment, and oral health education to children
and adults with additional needs, including those with physical, learning, medical, or social vulnerabilities. The role
involves working across a variety of community settings, including clinics, domiciliary visits, and outreach programmes,
and may involve treatment under conscious sedation or general anaesthesia. Key responsibilities include: Delivering
patient-centred dental care to individuals with complex needs. Carrying out assessments, treatment planning, and dental
procedures within the scope of NHS primary dental care. Supporting the supervision and development of dental nurses and
