About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant at Glenholme Thimbleby Court, you will support the Chef in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment. Your role is essential in ensuring high standards of hygiene and food preparation, contributing to the overall well-being of residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Keep all areas of the kitchen clean and tidy.
  • Wash and sanitise kitchen equipment thoroughly.
  • Ensure economic use of food and materials.
  • Report defects or damages to the Chef.
  • Assist with preparing vegetables and light meals.
  • Clean according to the established schedule.
  • Support colleagues in other areas as needed.
  • Maintain a professional uniform at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks.

Compensation

Pay rate is £12.30 per hour, to be discussed further during the interview process.

Located at Glenholme Thimbleby Court, Horncastle LN9 5RA. Flexible bank hours available.
