About the Role

The post holder will be required to work autonomously in the ECT service of the Trust, providing skilled assistance to

the Anaesthetist as per the College of anaesthetist guidelines. This includes the treatment area and all other areas

within the ECT service. The operating department practitioner provides recovery care for patients after receiving ECT,

having planned, implemented and assessed all aspects of their care within the service.

The post holder will support the senior staff, ensuring high standards of effective care are delivered to all patients

within the ECT service. The post holder must have experience in theatre/anaesthetic practice and be prepared to take on
