Birth Choices Midwife
About the Role
The post holder must be a registered Band 6 midwife, with at least 2 years intrapartum care experience The post holder
will communicate with women and their families during antenatal clinic appointments. This will either be facilitated
face to face or as a virtual appointment, or as a telephone consultation according to maternal preference. Information
about different birth options will be shared, and written information will also be provided to families either via
email, hard copy or signposting to appropriate websites. Knowledgeable in how to source evidence-based information and
be able to share this knowledge appropriately with women so they can make an informed decision about their birth.
