About the Role

As a CAMHS Clinical Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering clinical care within our inpatient units. You will utilize your clinical skills to create a therapeutic environment for young patients facing mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement clinical care for young patients.
  • Support a therapeutic and safe environment.
  • Assess risk formally and informally.
  • Foster a calm and contained demeanor.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legal frameworks.

Requirements

  • Qualified RMN, LD, or Children’s Nurse.
  • Understanding of mental health challenges in youth.
  • Demonstrated resilience and empathy.
  • Commitment to supporting young people creatively.
  • Willingness to learn and develop specialist skills.

Compensation

Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process, with a £3,000 recruitment/retention payment for eligible new starters.

Location & Schedule

Positions are available across various adolescent units at Bethlem Royal Hospital and the new Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People.
