About the Role

Responsibilities
- Support the head chef in meal planning and preparation.
- Prepare balanced meals that meet dietary requirements.
- Cater to individual preferences and medical needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the care team for enjoyable meal times.
- Deputize for the head chef during absences.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a care setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- NVQ level 2 qualification in food preparation/cooking.
- Basic food hygiene certificate.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations.
- Empathy and a desire to improve residents' lives.
