About the Role

As a Children Community Learning Disability Nurse, you will promote health and independence for individuals with learning disabilities. You will deliver high-quality nursing assessments and interventions within a Positive Behaviour Support framework, while also providing supervision and guidance to Band 5 nurses and support workers in a supportive, non-stigmatising environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nursing assessments for children with learning disabilities.
  • Implement interventions within a Positive Behaviour Support framework.
  • Provide supervision to Band 5 nurses and support workers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care.
  • Ensure accessibility and non-stigmatising service delivery.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with relevant experience in learning disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support principles.
  • Commitment to promoting health and independence.
