Children Community Learning Disability Nurse
About the Role
As a Children Community Learning Disability Nurse, you will promote health and independence for individuals with learning disabilities. You will deliver high-quality nursing assessments and interventions within a Positive Behaviour Support framework, while also providing supervision and guidance to Band 5 nurses and support workers in a supportive, non-stigmatising environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments for children with learning disabilities.
- Implement interventions within a Positive Behaviour Support framework.
- Provide supervision to Band 5 nurses and support workers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care.
- Ensure accessibility and non-stigmatising service delivery.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with relevant experience in learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support principles.
