About the Role
Plan and manage complex activities and programmes that require constant adjustment to meet the changing needs of
children/young people. Using additional equipment the child/young person may require on a daily basis, or in an
emergency. Have an awareness of the support required for children/young people with tracheostomys. Care of
children/young people requiring urinary catheters and peg feeds in the school and community settings in line with a
competency framework. To be a trainer in specific areas of clinical expertise in order to train new team members as well
as school staff when appropriate. Facilitate training from specialist nurses for education staff for the children/young
