About the Role
Initial Assessment and Triage: Conducting thorough clinical assessments of children presenting to the ED. This includes
history taking, physical examination, and prioritisation of cases based on severity. Diagnosis and Management: Making
timely and accurate diagnoses in emergency situations, and formulating appropriate treatment plans for a wide variety of
conditions. Clinical Decision-Making: Responsible for making decisions regarding the management of both acute and
chronic paediatric conditions, often in high-pressure environments. Supervision and Support: Providing supervision and
guidance to junior doctors (e.g., Foundation Year doctors, junior residents, medical students) in clinical duties.
