About the Role
Responsible for the transfer of patients to wards and departments (often unaccompanied) by meansof wheelchair, trolley
or bed. Patient valuables are the responsibility of nursing staff and will be dealtwith and documented on the ward.
Patient belongings accompany the patient when transferred tothe ward. Collection and transportation of the deceased to
the mortuary, to include all documentation. Openand secure the mortuary after use and ensure that the body collection
trolley is kept in a clean andgood order. To deliver case notes and clinical equipment that the patient may need and
transfer safely. Ensureeffective communication with members of nursing staff and patients and adhere to
