About the Role
Heathfield Primary and Nursery School is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher with SENDCo responsibilities. This role involves leading inclusive education for pupils with diverse needs across two campuses. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high-quality teaching, collaboration, and a commitment to supporting all students to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Lead SEND provision and ensure effective identification and assessment.
- Monitor progress of pupils with SEND using whole-school data.
- Provide guidance and support to staff for inclusive teaching.
- Build partnerships with families and external agencies.
- Promote early identification and intervention strategies.
Requirements
- Achieved National SENDCo Award or willing to undertake SEND NPQ.
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Experience in leading support for diverse educational needs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.

Location & Schedule
Position based in Basford and Bulwell, with a 0.3 FTE teaching commitment.
