About the Role

King Street Surgery is seeking a part-time Clinical Administrator/Medical Coder/Summariser to join our dedicated team. This role, requiring 15 hours per week, is ideal for candidates with NHS or general practice experience. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate patient records and effective communication within the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Identify relevant clinical information in patient correspondence.
• Forward tasks to GPs, nurses, or pharmacists as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in all workplace interactions.
• Correct anomalies in patient notes and update records.
• Follow practice protocols for Workflow Optimisation.
• Develop effective working relationships with staff.

Requirements

• Experience in the NHS or primary care settings.
• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Location & Schedule

Part-time position, 15 hours per week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
