About the Role
Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Coder to join their team. This role involves accurately extracting and coding clinical information from health records using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications. You will ensure compliance with national standards and contribute to high-quality data for statistical analysis, all while working remotely with occasional on-site requirements.
Responsibilities
- Extract diagnoses and procedures from health records.
- Translate clinical information into codes using ICD-10 and OPCS-4.
- Input codes into the Patient Administration System.
- Attend training on EPIC and MEDICODE software.
- Complete coding in a timely manner per Trust requirements.
Requirements
- Knowledge of clinical coding standards and guidelines.
- Experience with ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.

Compensation
To be discussed. Initially hired under Annexe 21 until ACC qualified, then paid at Band 5.
Location & Schedule
This is a remote position with occasional on-site requirements.
