Clinical Fellow in Urology - HGS sites

About the Role

The Urologyteam comprises 2 senior lecturers and five consultant surgeons, three of whom make a contribution to the

hospital's urodynamic service. Special interests within the department include the management of patients requiring

partial nephroctomy, retroperitoneal node dissection, renal tumours invading the cava, laproscopic radical prostectomy

and neobladders. Over 100 laparoscopic operations are performed each year and the unit performs the full range of

general urological operations. The unit also provides support for gynaecological colleagues at the Birmingham Women's

Hospital, who undertake major abdominal and pelvic surgery. In addition to a weekly MDT meeting there is a 'tracker'
