About the Role

Elective colorectal surgery is performed at Castle Hill Hospital with a dedicated 36 bedded colorectal ward including an

8 bedded high observation area. The colorectal service operates five days per week with daily access to an integrated

minimally invasive operating theatre as well as additional parallel main theatre sessions. The department also has 5 day

surgical lists per week in the Day Surgical Unit at Castle Hill Hospital. Outpatient facilities are based at Castle Hill

Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary, Beverley Westwood Hospital, and the Alfred Bean Hospital in nearby Driffield. Endoscopy

is undertaken at both Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary.
