About the Role

To provide professional leadership and support to the Enhanced care/prevention of Delirium (POD) team based within the

acute Trust. By working collaboratively with clinical areas utilising the available resources to provide an enhanced

level of patient centred care. To support the dementia and delirium training, bringing a skilled workforce in dementia

and delirium to the organisation.

The post holder provides senior clinical, professional and operational leadership for dementia and delirium services,

focusing on enhanced care, delirium prevention and engagement initiatives across the Trust. The role leads the Enhanced
