About the Role

To work effectively as an autonomous practitioner within the countywide multidisciplinary palliative care team promoting

and maintaining quality of life for patients with cancer or other life threatening illnesses requiring specialist

palliative care and into bereavement for relatives and carers To provide specialist clinical leadership in the

assessment of complex symptom and psychological problems, provide support, advice and leadership to health care

professionals in line with national and local guidelines ensuring a cohesive, holistic and evidence based approach to

the management of palliative patients. To empower and equip health care professionals with skills and knowledge to deal
