About the Role
JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY The Jobholder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload. The jobholder will provide
specialist nursing care and advice to a specific patient group and will contribute to the development of the speciality
service. The jobholder will ensure cost effective use of resources. Post holder will work as a clinical nurse specialist
to lead and deliver safe and high-quality nurse-led inpatient VTE care, and support and deliver VTE follow up clinics as
a member of the multi-disciplinary thrombosis and anticoagulation team alongside the advanced practitioner for VTE. The
VTE CNS will ensure high quality VTE prevention care is embedded throughout the organisation alongside the lead VTE
