About the Role
The post of the Epilepsy clinical nurse specialist is to manage both inpatient and outpatient Epilepsy care, safely and
effectively, ensuring the national guidelines are adhered to and service delivery targets are met. The post holder will
be responsible for the day to day delivery of comprehensive specialist nursing care, ensuring that the service is
delivered in line with the local Service Level Agreement. The Clinical nurse specialist will be responsible for diligent
resource utilisation, ensuring that the service is delivered within the agreed establishment. The individual post holder
will also be responsible for ensuring that they are adequately trained to carry out their specialist role.
