Community Children's Staff Nurse
About the Role
To provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to BCYP in their home, school, nursery, or other community
settings, consistently working within the scope of competencies achieved as outlined in the Nursing Workbook and
Competency Handbook for the Community Childrens Nursing Service. To work in partnership with the child, young person and
their family and carers, to identify individual needs and deliver nursing care. To encourage and support self-management
and independence of clients and families, providing training and support within limits of identified competence. Work
alongside the nurses, nurse associates and students to develop nursing skills and nursing practice in order to be fully
