About the Role

The Witney Community Midwives are a small but close knit team of professionals based at Witney Community Hospital. The

team work closely with the freestanding midwifery-led unit in Chipping Norton, where women from Witney and the

surrounding areas frequently choose to birth.

Across Oxfordshire, we have four freestanding birth centres—located in Banbury, Chipping Norton, Wantage, and

Wallingford—alongside a homebirth service. Our community birth rate is above the current national average at 5%.

As a member of the Witney team, you will join the community on-call rota to support the community birth service; our
