Community Nursing Sister/Charge Nurse
About the Role
Manage the daily coordination of the community nursing team. Undertake holistic assessments for patients newly referred
to the service. Complete and oversee clinical assessments, including PURPOSE-T, MUST/MUAC and wound assessments. Manage
chronic wounds (e.g. leg ulcers and pressure ulcers) in line with NICE guidance and best practice. Manage short-term
wounds, including post-surgical wounds. Care for patients with drains (e.g. JVAC, lantern and pigtail drains), including
flushes where required. Provide care for PICC lines, midlines and portacaths, including chemotherapy disconnections
(training provided). Administer intravenous antibiotics in the community via bolus or infusion. Ensure appropriate
