Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, Women's Service

About the Role

Join Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist in the women's secure service. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, providing exceptional care to women with complex mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership to a multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Deliver clinical care for an indicative caseload of 10 patients.
• Conduct assessments for women referred to the service.
• Participate in a weekly prison clinic at HMP Foston Hall.
• Support the development of community step-down accommodation.

Requirements

• Consultant-level experience in forensic psychiatry.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage complex mental health cases.
• Experience in community mental health services.
• Commitment to service development and innovation.
