Consultant Geriatrician with Specialist Interest in Parkinsons Disease

About the Role

The post holder will work with the existing team of consultants to deliver the Elderly Care service across the trust,

with particular focus on interface geriatrics and developing community based services with a focus on admission and

readmission avoidance. The post holder will undertake regular inpatient ward rounds, and in addition will provide

medical support on the Elderly assessment unit, where their primary focus will be on admission avoidance and the

provision of appropriate care in the community. Post holder will be expected to support Virtual Ward that has been

established as an enabling multidisciplinary team (nursing, medical, therapy and social care) to support older people at
