About the Role

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Emergency Medicine.

This appointment is to the Trust, not to specific hospitals. Our Trust footprint currently includes Cromer Hospital (25

miles from NNUH). The ED Consultants also provide support for a minor injury’s unit in Cromer in terms of clinical

advice, and support with protocol development. The MIU is staffed by ENPs.

We have a “Command and Control” Consultant in charge of ED during the day. They coordinate the working day and

prioritise where staffing should be placed, based on safety and demand. The on-call consultant is responsible for the
