About the Role

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry for the outpatient service in Oldham. This newly established role involves working with a team of consultants to provide high-quality mental health care to patients aged 16 to 64. The position offers opportunities for personal development and involvement in teaching and research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessments and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to teaching medical and nursing staff.
• Engage with local service user and carer groups.
• Participate in research projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration and in good standing.
• Approved Clinician status or ability to achieve within 3 months.
• Excellent knowledge of adult psychiatry.
• Experience with complex psychological problems.

Position based in Oldham, with outpatient clinics at Cherrywood Clinic and Werneth Primary Care Centre.
