About the Role

The Department The Medical Staffing establishment of the Department is 11 Consultants, 3 Specialty Doctors, 8 Specialty

Registrars (ST3 and above) rotating within the region, 2 ST1/2 trainees and 6 GP Trainees. The Post The Gynaecological

Service The gynaecological inpatient unit is located on Ward B11. At present, there are 14 beds. Each year we perform:

1900 day case procedures 600 elective inpatient procedures 7500 new outpatients. 11000 FU patients. A full range of

gynaecology procedures are provided including advanced laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and urogynaecology surgery, advanced

ambulatory procedures and colposcopy. We are a cancer unit offering early stage cancer surgery, with the advanced
