About the Role

Applications are invited for a full-time substantive Specialist in Fetal and Maternal Medicine Consultant

As a surgical, cardiac, and genetic referral centre, UHL delivers specialist multidisciplinary care for pregnancies

complicated by fetal or maternal medical conditions, as well as for women at high risk of massive haemorrhage. UHL is

recognised as the regional host for abnormally invasive placenta service (AIP).

The unit, led by subspecialist consultants, provides training opportunities for clinical fellows. In addition to serving

the local population, the Centre receives referrals from seven regional hospitals, managing complex cases involving
