About the Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated whole-time consultant in Medical Microbiology to join our

existing team. This is a replacement post and will be based at the Conquest Hospital, Hastings, although you may be

required to undertake duties at the Eastbourne District General Hospital or other sites within the Trust.

You will join three other consultant Microbiologists in the provision of the Clinical Microbiology and Infection Control

Service, as part of the development of a multi-disciplinary team approach to this speciality.

The Microbiology Laboratory deals with nearly 300,000 specimens a year, of which 60% of requests originate from East
