About the Role
The post-holder will be required to maintain their continuing professional development (CPD) to be able to successfully
revalidate. As per the Trust requirement the successful candidate will be required to have annual appraisal and attend /
keep fully up to date with statutory and mandatory training as stipulated. The post-holder will be expected to undertake
the Trust Corporate and Directorate specific Induction and competency Program's appropriate to the role. To be able to
provide support in the emergency eye department. To be a point of escalation when the emergency department requires
senior consultant advice. To provide Consultant Ophthalmology services at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals
