About the Role
The Band 7 senior sister for critical care outreach will be a senior member of the critical care outreach team. They
will possess expert clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of acutely unwell and deteriorating patients. They
will deliver a high standard of care to patients in ward areas, seeking to avert admissions to Intensive Care or
facilitate prompt and safe transfer. They will assist with safe patient discharge from Intensive Care, providing input
into rehabilitation and providing psychological support for patients and relatives. They will provide professional and
educational support to colleagues working in other clinical areas. Active participation in audit, quality improvement
