About the Role
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Dementia Companion is required to provide & assist in the provision of high quality holistic person-centred care for
patients and the families. The Dementia Companion will assist patients as appropriate, promote independence, respecting
patient’s privacy and dignity & carry out other duties in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse. The Dementia
Companion must ensure that all information regarding patients is kept in strict confidence. The Dementia Companion will
work as part of the nursing team providing care and support to people with dementia to promote the person’s feelings of
