Deputy Nursery Manager – Newlyn School Nursery
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager for Newlyn School Nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a nurturing disposition and a commitment to child development through the EYFS curriculum. This role involves collaborating with the Nursery Manager and staff to create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a play-based curriculum supporting holistic development.
- Lead and support early years practitioners in their roles.
- Build trusting relationships with children and families.
- Identify and support children with additional needs.
- Promote safeguarding and inclusive practices.
- Encourage outdoor learning and creative enrichment opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Experience in teaching or leading early years settings.
- Nurturing approach to behaviour and wellbeing.
- Confidence in adapting learning for individual needs.
- Proactive attitude towards health and safety.
