Deputy Nursery Manager – Newlyn School Nursery

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager for Newlyn School Nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a nurturing disposition and a commitment to child development through the EYFS curriculum. This role involves collaborating with the Nursery Manager and staff to create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a play-based curriculum supporting holistic development.
• Lead and support early years practitioners in their roles.
• Build trusting relationships with children and families.
• Identify and support children with additional needs.
• Promote safeguarding and inclusive practices.
• Encourage outdoor learning and creative enrichment opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Experience in teaching or leading early years settings.
• Nurturing approach to behaviour and wellbeing.
• Confidence in adapting learning for individual needs.
• Proactive attitude towards health and safety.
